A BIT ABOUT US

BAME WIS, was the first formal mentorship scheme for ethnic minority women studying Neuroscience at King's College London, founded by Ms Naomi Limbachiya in 2020.

The first launch of the BAME WIS scheme underlined the importance of mentoring as a tool to address these issues and to strategise solutions. Women from various walks of life commented on how this scheme improved their self confidence, helped them understand how to navigate difficulties pertaining to their professional life and allowed them to reflect and plan on how they may achieve their academic goals.

In hope of making this initiative accessible to girls and women worldwide, we have created this remote platform. We see the value that each and every women and girl has to give to the world and want to support them in doing so. BAME WIS aims to ensure that women and girls from all walks of life are able to live a life filled with intellect, intent and inquisitiveness.
